Story

13 years prior to contacting our company these clients had custom built this luxury holiday home on Salt Spring Island. Wanting to blend in with the surrounding natural elements and maintain somewhat of a cabin appearance on the exterior, despite the size of the home, they had originally installed cedar shingles on the roof. Only 13 years after that roof was installed it was completely discoloured and much of the cedar was already splitting. The amount of wear and tear on the roof from the surrounding forest and our wet climate in such a short period of time had these homeowners very discouraged about state of their roof, concerned about protecting the beautiful interior of their luxury holiday home, and determined to find a product that could withstand what the forest and the weather would be bombarding it with for years to come. Not wanting to compromise the appearance of the house with a metal roof and after researching to discover the best material available, these clients discovered DaVinci Roofscapes. Referred to us by a local supplier they contacted us for a free quote. Shortly after our first visit to the property, a contract was signed and the DaVinci Multi-Width Shake was on its way from Kansas. Upon completion we and the clients were extremely pleased to see how the beauty of this engineered polymer roof system greatly enhanced the appearance of their house, and better yet to know that it will protect everything underneath it beyond any of our lifetimes.
